Cayan Cantara towers take shape in Dubai

Cayan Group reaches first important milestone in construction of its new real estate project on Umm Sequiem Road in Dubai.

Interesting projects combining hospitality and residential components keep mushrooming in different price segments of the Dubai's real estate market. Saudi developer Cayan Group first entering Dubai hospitality/residential territory with its new project Cayan Cantara says the development is being completed right on schedule evoking great interest among potential investors.

Last November Shapoorji Pallonji was selected as the general contractor for the project, and now it reports having competed the most important and labor-intensive part of the project’s implementation, including excavation, piling and shorting works, as well as the raft foundation, along with all the immediate services that come along with it. Further construction will be carried out at a stiff pace, and by 2019, two towers with apartments already available for sale at reasonable prices will be erected on Umm Sequiem Road, just two minutes from Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and six minutes from Emirates Road. The hotel component of the project promises to not only add amenities to the residential tower, but also to increase the project’s investment attractiveness.

Cayan Cantara will include two towers: a 42-story residential building and a 33-story hotel building connected by spectacular bridges. One of the bridges will have glass-bottomed swimming pool, which will extend three metres out from the building’s edge, so that visitors could observe the city from above, while swimming in the pool. The total area of ​​the two buildings is 153,290 sq.m. The residential segment of the project will include 700 units — from studios to three-bedroom apartments and penthouses. The infrastructure of the complex will include restaurants, retail units, a spa and a gym, a lounge zone and a meeting room.

The developer makes a special emphasis on the strategic location of Cayan Cantara, equidistant from all important Dubai’s attractions. Mall of the Emirates is only five minutes away, while Dubai Mall and Downtown Dubai, as well as Al Maktoum International Airport are 20 minutes away.

Cayan Group has already proved itself as the creator of one of the main Dubai dominants, the Cayan Tower, world-famous twisted skyscraper located in the center of Dubai, having been called the Infinity Tower during construction. This 307.3 meters-tall residential skyscraper in Dubai Marina is considered to be the tallest 90 °-twisted building in the world, and the eighth tallest residential building in the world. Fully-furnished ready-made luxury apartments are also available for sale in this building too. Thus, Dubai always has much to offer, even when choosing within one developer’s real estate portfolio.
