Barsha Heights is an area of New Dubai that has been recently completely rebranded, and changed its name from the former Tecom in mid-2016. Rebranding was necessary to make it easier for newcomers and Dubai residents to find it, and both to harmonize its name with the historical background. And so, Barsha Heights became a neighbor and a part of a larger Al Barsha area​​, although a reference to the free zone master developer Tecom Group will keep accompanying its name for a long time as an alternative.

Barsha Heights is referred to as the most dynamic location of the New Dubai. It's a new vibrant city center for creative business start-ups and technologies.
